Mosaics from older images

After making some moon mosaics recently from images taken specifically for that purpose, I decided to go back to some of my older images and see what I could put together.

First up is one of my oldest moon shots, a video taken by my Lego webcam through a 70/700mm refractor. I recorded as the moon drifted by. This is the result of stitching the frames of the video together to create a larger image.

I had a few more sessions with my C8 where I imaged large portions of the moon, but never got full coverage.

And finally, my favorite composite, which I didn’t expect to turn out this well at all. This is the Orion nebula, but the individual images were taken on different days with different exposure and post-processing.
